how we do it

All our leather goods are hand made. By this we mean they are designed and made by us using hand tools alone - no electrical equipment such as a sewing machine. Most importantly everything we make is hand stitched, which produces a much more durable and robust end product.

Mark learned his skills from Val Michael and Neil MacGregor (http://www.leathercourses.co.uk/) - two highly skilled and gifted leather workers based in Tetbury, Gloucestershire.

Wherever practicable we use vegetable tanned leather. This is a much more versatile material than its chemically processed cousins, and is especially suited to some of the techniques used, such as wet moulding.
